Obituary of Joyce Marie Williams

Funeral Services for Joyce Marie Williams of Eolia, MO will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Cole Branstetter, Chaplain for Pike County Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Ms. Williams, 53, passed away early Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 at her home near Eolia, MO. Born October 5, 1970 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of John Michael and Adrienne Brown Williams. Raised near Winfield, Joyce attended Winfield High School. Together for 36 years, Joyce and her life partner, Dan Miller were blessed with two children, Stephanie and Christopher. Joyce was employed for many years as a cook at Shooters Bar & Grill in Elsberry. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino, but most of all, she loved her family and being with her grandbaby. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adrienne Williams. Survivors include her life partner, Dan Miller of Eolia; one daughter, Stephanie Miller and her significant other, Dalton Ogden, of Foley, MO; one son, Christopher Miller of Eolia; and one grandson, Arthur Ogden. Joyce also leaves two sisters: Mary Helmholtz and her husband, Jason, of Wentzville, MO, and Joan Sewell and her husband, Bernie, of Smithville, MO; two brothers: Mel Jones of Elsberry and David Jones of Texas; Dan’s siblings: Jim Miller and his wife, Vickie, of O’Fallon, MO, Steve Miller of Foley, and Karen Kyle of Troy, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
