I never knew Gary but was with him in his final 20 minutes of life before the ambulance, firefighters and police arrived on scene. I was behind the kid that he collide with Gary by a minute. We went around the curve to see the aftermath. My husband ran over to Gary's truck that was on it's side. Gary was alive but there was no way for us to help get him out of the vehicle so we talked to him until the help arrived. He passed shortly after being pulled from the wreckage. I wanted so badly to call his family but couldn't make out the name he was saying. I am so sorry for your loss. Gary has been on my mind ever since that evening .

We were blessed to know Gary in past years from delivering rock at our small farm. He always did an excellent job and always stopped to talk with us. Always a smile and so friendly. The kind of person one would look forward to showing up no matter what for. Although we weren't good friends, his personality came across that we'd known him for many many years! He will be missed by us and I'm sure many many others. God bless you all.

Mark, Tracy and families you have our deepest sympathy and are in our thoughts and prayers. Gary will be truly missed. He always had a smile for you and helpful to the community, family and friends. We were neighbors growing up, and Gary would always speak to us kids and always treated us great! He always had a big smile too! We loved to see him drive up the lane! He was certainly a wonderful guy, and I know he will be greatly missed. So very sorry for your loss!!

Tracy, I always enjoyed the Cannon camping trip. Aunt Clara’s stories, the roasted marshmallows your dad made for us, and coin toss in the straw. Great memories with the Cannon’s and Krieg’s.
