Obituary of Ellabrence M. Robertson

Ellabrence Robertson Graveside services for Ellabrence Robertson of Lexington, KY (formerly of Winfield, MO), were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007 at Bethany Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, minister of Winfield Baptist Church in Winfield, MO, officiated the service. Mrs. Robertson, 90, died Monday night, May 7, 2007 at her residence in Lexington, KY. Born September 26, 1916 in Valier, IL, she was the daughter of John Harrison and Ina Lillian Marrs McGuire. She was a 1933 graduate of Central High School in St. Louis, MO. She was united in marriage on July 6, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to Neal Dunlap Robertson. This union was blessed with one son, Charles Michael. She was a member and church organist for many years at Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield, MO. After moving to KY, she became a member of the Southern Hills Methodist Church in Lexington, KY. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed music and movies. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian McGuire; one brother, Charles "Chuck" McGuire; dear friend, Wilbert Bell; and her beloved husband of 52 years, Neal Robertson, who died January 2, 1993. Survivors include her son, Mike Robertson and his wife, Patricia, of Imperial, MO; one granddaughter, Laura Suter and her husband, Ken, also of Imperial; one great-grandson, Tyler Suter; one special niece, Patricia Cochrell Binzer and her husband, Vaughn, of Lexington, KY; dear friend, Ruth Bell; several other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
