Obituary of June Rose Phillips

Funeral Services for June Rose Phillips of Winfield, MO, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Laura Taylor, pastor of Elsberry United Methodist Church in Elsberry, MO, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery Columbarium in Winfield. Ms. Phillips, 55, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 11, 2023 at St Joseph Hospital West, in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born December 3, 1967 in St Louis County, MO, she was the daughter of Paul R. and Dorothy P. (Doll) Gaulden. June was a 1986 graduate of Hazelwood Central High School in Hazelwood, MO. She attended Southeast Missouri University studying journalism and later business administration at Sanford Brown Business College. June was employed as a secretary and Human Resources administrator for Weiss Drywall Contractors in St Louis for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Gaulden. Survivors include her companion of 20 years Walter John Turpin of Winfield; Two sons, Caleb Phillips, and his wife, Ashley, of Hazelwood, and Corey Phillips, and his wife, Paige, of Winfield; and one granddaughter, Elia Phillips of Hazelwood. June also leaves two brothers: Bill Gaulden, and his wife, Annette, of O’Fallon, MO and Tony Gaulden, and his wife, Kim, of Eureka, MO; one sister, Kathy McCoy, and her companion, Jeff, of Hazel Park Michigan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
