Obituary of Anita Eilene Wilding

Funeral Services for Anita Eilene Wilding of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO, will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Matt Armstrong, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Winfield, will officiate. Mrs. Wilding, 62, passed away Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023 at her home in O’Fallon. Born September 4, 1960 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Floyd Henry Lindsey Jr. and Betty June (Jacobs) Lindsey. Anita was a 1978 graduate of Winfield High School. She was united in marriage on May 1, 1982 in Troy, MO to Kevin Gerard Wilding. This union was blessed with four children, Ryan, Lucas, Lindsey, and Rachael. Anita was employed as a school bus driver for the Winfield School District and Francis Howell School District for 27 years. Anita enjoyed getting together for game night with the “Bunco Girls”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Betty Lindsey; one brother, David Lindsey, Sr.; one sister in-law Sherry Lindsey; and one son, Lucas Wilding, who died December 4, 2021. Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Kevin Wilding of O’Fallon; one son, Ryan Wilding and his wife, Danielle, of House Springs, MO; two daughters: Lindsey Crone and her husband, Patrick, of Jerseyville, IL, and Rachael Wehmeier and her husband, Clayton, of St. Charles, MO; one daughter-in-law, Katharine Wilding of Waterloo, IA; and eight grandchildren: Elijah, Noah, Raymond, Colby, Laken, Calix, Elliott, and Briley. Anita also leaves two brothers: Jeffrey Lindsey of Michigan, and Warren Lindsey and his wife, Mary, of Lee’s Summit, MO; one sister, Tina Lindsey and her companion, John, of Columbia, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
