Obituary of Justin "Homer" Leon Riffle

Funeral Services for Justin Leon “Homer” Riffle of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church in Whiteside, MO will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Homer, 43, passed away Sunday evening, May 21, 2023, in Montgomery City, MO. Born June 22, 1979 in Louisiana, MO, he was the son of Kenneth Leon “Kenny” and Patricia Maxine “Patti” Riechard Riffle. Homer worked for Alliance Public Works with The City of Elsberry. He was preceded in death by his brother, Allie Frank Riffle who died in 2009. Survivors include his children: Danielle Reeves of Elsberry, Axel Riffle of Queen City, MO, and Kenneth Ryan “Hillbilly” Riffle of Montgomery City; and his parents: Kenny Riffle and his wife, Tina of Elsberry and Pati Ingram of Vandalia, MO. Homer also leaves one brother, Michael Thomas Riechard of Hannibal, MO; two step-sisters: Amanda Livesay and her husband, Michael, of Elsberry and Brandy Lynn Party of St. Charles; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
