Growing up Bonnie and Duke raised me for awhile. I don’t remember a time being younger that I didn’t want to be with them. They were our next door neighbors in Radcliff,Kentucky. Who quickly became more than that to me. I was always over at their house,having dinner or staying the night and going on vacations with Bonnie to Missouri to see family. I loved seeing everyone and I hope to get in contact with Bonnie soon if anyone sees this. I had a number for them but it’s now not working and I’ve been trying for months to find the right number. I am so sorry for your loss and loved Duke more than I can put into words. I am forever thankful for the love and guidance he showed me growing up. Hugs and prayers to you all! Taylor- 270-872-3403

We are so sad to hear of Duke’s passing. Butch says he has so many memories of his cousin Duke and their time together through the years that it would take too many pages. We have seen him around town and he always is joking and happy. We would ask how Bonnie is doing and as a caregiver for Bonnie that says something about his character. May you have the peace of Christ that passes all understanding to get you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bonnie and family. Love Butch & Ginny Watkins

I am so sorry for your loss. Duke was a talker and quick witted. Duke used to work for me at the Allied/Auto Convoy terminal in Claycomo, Mo. One of his favorite things to do was strap a plastic car on the back top position of his Carhaul rig if he did not get a back haul (return haul). He would tell everyone this was his backhaul. If you saw the plastic car strapped to the ramp you knew immediately it was Duke and he did not get an actual backhaul from one of our other locations. I am sure he will be greatly missed. He was always upbeat, a good employee and enjoyed a good conversation. Gerald “Skip” Goll

Duke was with me in Buffalo NY. it was Dec.1999. I broke my leg while loading cars that night. He loaded his truck and then mine.He came to the hospital and told me at least you will get the loading pay. That was Duke Bufford. Love ya John Parrish Boomerang

Q: How would you describe James to someone who had never met them? A: Duke was a kind, compassionate, loving person. He could make a room light up with his smile. What an honor it was to know Duke for all of these years.
