Obituary of Christopher Robert Sherrow

Funeral Services for Christopher Robert “Kip” Sherrow of Bowling Green, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Elsberry. Brother Greg Pflasterer, will officiate. Kip, 48, passed away Saturday evening, April 29, 2023, at SSM St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born June 26, 1974 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Gene Albert “Sonny” and Mary Sue Ginnever Sherrow. Raised in Elsberry, Kip was a 1992 graduate of Elsberry High School. He worked as a butcher for many years at several meat markets and grocery stores including Woods Smoked Meats, Kroger, Schnucks and IGA. He was a member of Annada Community Christian Church. Kip enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonny and Mary Sue Sherrow. Survivors include his fiancé, Tanya Todd of Bowling Green, MO; five children: Kara Sherrow of Winfield, MO, Mellanee Sherrow and her fiancé, Sean Dunakey of Moscow Mills, MO, Adam Sherrow and his wife, Lyndia, of Troy, MO, Terrance Ledbetter of Bowling Green and Taylor Legg of Mexico, MO; and three grandchildren: Roman, Evander and Charlotte. He also leaves three brothers: Wade Sherrow and his wife, Debbie, of Dyersburg, TN, Tony Sherrow and his wife, Joan, of Winfield, and Jamie Sherrow and his partner, Sunday, of Rockaway Beach, MO; one sister, Angie Henke and her husband, Frank, of Millwood, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Elsberry.
