Obituary of Ronald Scott Butler

Funeral Services for Ronald Scott Butler of Foley, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Larry Gallaher, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church near Foley. Mr. Butler, 56, passed away late Wednesday night, April 26, 2023 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, MO. Born December 14, 1966 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Bobby and Joyce Asher Butler. Ron was a 1985 graduate of Buchanan High School in Troy, MO. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 21 years. Ron was united in marriage on April 8, 2000 in Troy to Laury Ann Scott. Their home was blessed with three children: Christeen, Heather and Brandon. Ron worked as a cooler repairman for True Manufacturing. He served as the Commander of VFW Post #5517 in Winfield. Ron loved hunting, fishing, karaoke, meat shoots and barbequing with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Butler. Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Laury Butler of Foley; their son, Brandon Butler of Foley; two stepdaughters: Christeen Tate of Old Monroe, MO and Heather Turner and her husband, Ean, of Winfield; and five grandchildren: Keagan, Olivia, Tucker, Ellie and Emery. Ron also leaves his mother, Joyce Butler of Troy; one sister, Pam Butler of Missouri City, MO; other relatives and friends. Inurnment will be held at a later date in.
