Obituary of Rickey Alan Whipple

Funeral Services for Rickey Alan Whipple of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Rickey, 66, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his home. Born December 4, 1956 on the Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO, he was the son of Floyd and Norma Ellen French Whipple. Rickey served his country in the United States Army from March 26, 1975 until his Honorable Discharge on April 7, 1978. He was united in marriage on October 24, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV to Terrie Margaret Caito. Rickey worked as a truck driver for Aldis and Roden Landscaping, retiring in 2015. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Whipple; one sister, Lynn Whipple; one brother, Wade Whipple; and his beloved wife of 11 years, Terrie Whipple, who died on November 3, 2017. Survivors include his mother, Norma Whipple of Old Monroe; his brother, Danny Whipple of Old Monroe and one daughter, Amanda Lindsey. Rickey also leaves one sister-in-law, Denise Ashe of Elsberry, MO; his niece and nephews: Amy, Justin and Danny, Jr.; his good friend, Rich Hemmer of Winfield; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
