Obituary of Thomas Ferry Davis

Graveside Services for Thomas Ferry Davis of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Rev. Kris Hagemeier pastor of the Elsberry First Christian Church will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Lucas Langford, Heather Langford, Nick Frisella, Micah Huff, Casey Huff and Jerry Keeven. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bob Davis and Steven Davis. Mr. Davis passed away Thursday afternoon, April 20, 2023, at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry at the age of 95 years. He was born January 23, 1928 in Elsberry to the late Bennie F. and Mabel C. (Long) Davis. Tom was raised in Elsberry where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1945. He served his country in the United States Army Air Force from 1946-1948, earning the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Tom was united in marriage on June 21, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Rosemary Phyllis Klockenbrink. This union was blessed with three children: Michael, Richard and Katherine. Over his working years, Tom farmed, worked as a flight engineer for American Airlines and Saudi Airlines and Maintenance Electrician for Dundee Cement Plant. He enjoyed reading and playing cards. Tom was a MENSA Member and formerly served on the Joseph R. Palmer Family Memorial Library Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mabel Davis; his brother, Forrest Davis; grandson, Philip Frisella; and his beloved wife of 70 years, Rosemary Davis, who died on October 6, 2020. Survivors include their children: Michael “Mike” Davis and his wife, Eileen, of St. Peters, MO, Richard “Rick” Davis and his wife, Terri, of Elsberry, and Katherine “Kadie” Davis of Maryville, IL; nine grandchildren: Dr. Anthony Frisella, Sarah King, Casey Huff, Nick Frisella, Nathanael Davis, Heather Langford, Steven Davis, Laurell Keeven and Abby Coyle; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. Tom also leaves his brother: Dr. Robert Davis DVM and his wife, Shirley, of Elsberry; several in-laws, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Joseph R.
