Obituary of Georgetta Elizabeth Miller

Funeral Services for Georgetta Elizabeth Miller of Cedar Hill, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Fr. Richard Rath, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Georgetta, 80, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her home. Born April 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of George and Citta Shellert McNicholas. Georgetta was united in marriage on June 27, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Leslie Howard Miller. This union was blessed with three children: Lorraine, Linda and Leslie II. Georgetta worked in the Deli Department of Shop-N-Save until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local #88 in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Citta McNicholas; two sisters: Sharon York and Diane Stevens; her son, Leslie Miller II; son-in-law, Michael Buxton; and her beloved husband, Leslie Miller on December 18, 2006. Survivors include two daughters: Lorraine Buxton of House Springs, MO and Linda Mary Auer of Cedar Hill; seven grandchildren: Timothy Miller, Jonathon Auer, James Auer, Scott Jaros, Michael Buxton II, Leslie Miller III and Brittany Perry; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Georgetta also leaves one sister, Shirley Cliffton of Lincoln County, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
