Obituary of Michele Louise Pettig

Funeral Services for Michele Louise “Mickie” Pettig of Troy, MO will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Karla Cunningham, retired pastor, will officiate. Private Family burial will be held in Bethany Cemetery near Foley, MO. Mickie, 70, passed away Saturday morning, March 18, 2023 at SSM DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. Born June 12, 1952 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Vincent Leroy and Mary Lou Duey Sharpe. Mickie was united in marriage on September 9, 1978 in Winfield to Jerry R. Pettig. She worked as a real estate agent for Jungermann Realty and Cannon Realty. Mickie was a collector of dolls and jewelry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Lou Sharpe. Survivors include her beloved husband, Jerry Pettig of Troy; one son, Russell Sitton and his wife, Carrie, of Winfield; one stepson, Mark Pettig; two grandchildren: Brittany Galassi and her husband, Corey, and Kyle Sitton and his mother, Chris Sitton; one step-granddaughter, Tonia Pettig; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Galassi. Mickie also leaves her loving cousin, Karen Turnbull and her husband, Bob; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
