Obituary of Ronald Doss Williams

Funeral Services for Ronald Doss Williams of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Bro. Fielding Poe, pastor of First Baptist Church Winfield, will officiate with burial in New Salem Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Malcolm Beckemeier, Neal Mudge, Carl Timmerman, Jesse Damke, Shannon Fravell and Rusty Reimer. Ron, 66, passed away Monday morning, March 6, 2023 at his home. Born March 9, 1956 in Providence, KY, he was the son of Carvel Clinton Williams and Elizabeth Walker Davis. Ron was a 1974 graduate of Lafayette High School. He was united in marriage on April 26, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV to Cheryl Kay Songer. This union was blessed with three daughters: Holly, Marcie and Jami. Ron attended the Police Academy and served an officer for the Ellisville Police Department for 3 years; he was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Ron worked as a laborer for Musick Construction, retiring in 2017. He was a member of Laborers’ Local #660 in St. Charles, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carvel Williams and Elizabeth Davis; and one grandson, Kayden LaBanca. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Cheryl Williams; their daughters: Holly Reimer and her husband, Rusty, of St. Charles, Marcie LaBanca of St. Charles and Jami Williams of Winfield; six grandchildren: Zakkarie, Christopher, Victoria, Alissa, Jaycee and Brenden; and six great-grandchildren. Ron also leaves one brother, Robert “Bob” Williams and his wife, Llana, of Austin, TX; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 Friday, March 10, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
