Funeral Services for Arthur Burton Lilley of Clarksville, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Pastor Laura Taylor, pastor of the Elsberry United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Jeans, Shane Earley, Randy Lovell, Guy Trainer, Frank Mackey and Christopher Davis. Mr. Lilley, 83, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 18, 2022, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Columbia, MO. Born October 30, 1938 in Elsberry, he was the son of Richard Franklin and Clara Frances Thomas Lilley. Burton was a 1956 graduate of Elsberry High School. He served his country in the United States Army. Burton was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post #349 in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Clara Lilley; two brothers: Richard Thomas Lilley and Carl Frederick Lilley; and one sister, Serena Pratt. Survivors include three sisters: Joy Lou Earley of Annada, MO, Ruth Ann Lilley of Elsberry and Peggy Sue Hall of Clarksville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
