Wallace H. Keeteman
Funeral services for Wallace H. Keeteman of Old Monroe, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe. Rev. Don Bizer, church pastor, and Rev. Raymond Doussard, AmHeart Hospice chaplain, officiated with burial in St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers were Chad Keeteman, Jerrad Freymuth, Kent Turnbull, Jeff Hampton, Jack Allen, and Michael Bryant. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Allen, Joseph Allen, Angela Turnbull, Lynette Hampton, Meloney Allen, Mandi Bryant, Lori Freymuth, Katie Turnbull, Lauren Turnbull, Carly Hampton, Crystal Certain, Angie Moore, Emma Hampton, Shiloh Allen, Madison Moore, Lexi Freymuth, and Gabriel Bryant.
Mr. Keeteman, 84, died peacefully Friday, January 26, 2007 at his home near Old Monroe. Born June 11, 1922 in Old Monroe, he was the son of Charles John, Sr. and Rosa Bryant Pollard Keeteman. He was united in marriage on January 1, 1944 in Rock Hill Village, MO to Leola G. Bowman. He was employed for a number of years as a machinist for McDonald Douglas, retiring in 1984. He also worked many years as a farmer. He was a 49 year member of the Aero Space District Lodge #837 and a charter member of the Old Monroe Lions Club. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, where he served two terms on the church board.
Besides his parents, Charles and Rosa Keeteman, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles J. Keeteman, Jr. and Willard F. Keeteman, his twin who passed away at birth.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Leola G. Keeteman of Old Monroe; two sons: Wallace "Wayne" Keeteman and his wife, Dorothy, of Old Monroe and Randell Keeteman and his wife, Glenda, of Winfield, MO; one daughter, Patricia Freymuth and her husband, Ricky, of Foristell, MO; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves one sister-in-law, Laura Keeteman of Old Monroe; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. A Lions Club Rose Service was held at 6:00 p.m. during the visitation at the funeral home.
