Obituary of Marlene Diane Hagemeier

Memorial Services for Marlene Diane “Sam” Hagemeier of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of the Elsberry First Christian Church, will officiate. The family requests all in attendance support Sam's love for the St. Louis Cardinals by wearing your best Cardinals gear. Mrs. Hagemeier, 67, passed away early Monday morning, August 1, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born September 4, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Alfred Joseph and Anna Maslowski McKeever. Sam was a 1972 graduate of Central High School in St. Louis. She was united in marriage on November 3, 1973 in Elsberry to Gary Edwin Hagemeier. This union was blessed with three daughters: Lisa, Leslie and Lori. Sam worked as the manager for area quick shops including: BJ’s, Fastlane, Stu’s and Casey’s. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna McKeever; one sister, Ann Kuhn; and her beloved husband of nearly 45 years, Gary Hagemeier, who died on August 9, 2018. Survivors include their daughters: Lisa Goetsch and her husband, Howard, of Elsberry, Leslie Martin and her husband, Tony, of Elsberry and Lori Talleur and her husband, Dustin, of O’Fallon, MO; and nine grandchildren: Colby Martin, Elizabeth Like, Caylee Martin, Austin Like, Clayton Martin, Carson Talleur, Wyatt Kirt, Levi Talleur and Cammille Goetsch. Sam also leaves two sisters: Maureen McKeever of Elsberry and Patricia Roche of New Melle, MO; her good friend, Neta; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
