Obituary of Sharyn Ann Kellison

Sharyn Ann Kellison, of Elsberry, MO, passed away Wednesday morning July 13th, 2022 at Elsberry Health Care Center. Knowing my mom, she didn’t go gently. She was a scrappy fighter and likely dug her heals in until the very end. Her bright light will be carried by her children, grandchildren and all that people that knew her and loved her so dearly. Sharyn taught us all how keep trying to find the good. She found joy in small moments in life. She was quick to make a new friend and loved to make everyone around her laugh with a new catch phrase or silly song. Her nearly 77 years on this earth were filled with so much hardship, loss and grief and she still somehow found a way to find little moments of peace. Sharyn is reunited with her beloved son, Michael David Coddington, and her loving brothers, Gary and Michael Smith. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Helen Smith. She is survived by her children: Jimmy Coddington of Kansas City, MO, Pam Coddington of Troy; Chazz Kellison and his wife, Samantha of O'Fallon and Shary Kellison of Lake St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Zack, Payton, Shiloh and Harper. Sharyn also leaves so many she loved as family at the Elsberry Health Care Center. Sharyn was born July 16, 1945 and in honor of her birthday, her services will be July 16, 2022. Please bring a birthday card and include your favorite memory of Sharyn. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 12:00 noon at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Sam Byers, pastor of the Elsberry First Baptist Church, will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Elsberry Health Care Center in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
