Obituary of Patricia Ann Yokel

Patricia Ann (Sheets) Yokel of Silex, MO, formerly of Elsberry MO, passed away peacefully Saturday July 9, 2022 at Silex Community Care in Silex. Pat was born on January 21, 1946 to the (late) Cranson and Beulah Sheets in Black Rock, Arkansas. Pat was united in marriage on August 27, 1965 in Poplar Bluff, MO to William Arthur Yokel. This union was blessed with one daughter, Billie Ann. Pat worked as a lab tech for Bristol-Meyers for many years until she pursued her passion and opened her own boutique store, “Pat’s Gift Shop” in Elsberry selling home interior goods. At the end of each week, she would spend time with family and friends at the Star Hope Baptist Church where she was a long-time member. Pat is survived by her loving daughter, Billie Ann Yokel of Silex. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Bill Yokel, who died on June 9, 2018; Her parents, Cranson and Beulah Sheets; six siblings: Jim Pittman, Juanita Smith, Jackie Sheets, Betty Neal, Laura Holobaugh and Letha Kirby. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at noon. Rev. Roger Briggs, Pastor of Star Hope Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Kindred, Donnie Kinsler, Jerry Wagner, Billy Collins, Bob Day, Eugene Wall and Bob Bonney.
