Obituary of Vernon Ray Irvin
Graveside Services for Vernon Ray “Dick” Irvin of Brashears, MO was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Winfield Cemetery in Winfield, MO.
Mr. Irvin, 78, passed away Thursday night, June 30, 2022 at his home. Born September 15, 1943 in Wakefield, KS, he was the son of Oliver Clyde and Rhoda Louise Kaspar Irvin. Dick was united in marriage on July 18, 1964 in Old Monroe, MO to Beverly Carolyn Ricks. This union was blessed with two children: Eric Ray and Tina Ricks. Dick worked as an Assembler for General Motors, retiring in 1993 after 30 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Rhoda Irvin; three brothers: Bucky, Ed and James Irvin; one sister, Maxine Irvin; one son, Eric Irvin on May 26, 1995 and Tina Irvin on May 24, 2003.
Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Bev Irvin of Brashears; two brothers: Tom Irvin and his wife, Sidney, of Scott City, MO and Bill Irvin and his wife, Linda, of Florida; two sisters: Ann Green of Clay Center, KS and Barbara Rand of West Plains, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
