Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Lloyd "Mike" Ephraim Briscoe Funeral services for Lloyd "Mike" Ephraim Briscoe, of St. Louis, MO were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield, MO officiated with burial in Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Douglas Teasley, Dale Teasley, Donnie Teasley, Denny Teasley, Christopher Teasley and Bob Vancil. Mr. Briscoe, 92, died early Thursday morning, December 14, 2006 at Elder Care of the Valley in Florissant, MO. Born March 1, 1914 in Silex, MO, he was the son of Ephraim and Dollie Barker Briscoe. He was united in marriage on July 15, 1939 in Troy, MO to Kathryn Belle Damron. This union was blessed with three daughters: Ruby, Doris and Linda. He was employed for several years as a machine operator for McDonnell-Douglas, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Machinist Union Local #729-St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ephraim and Dollie Briscoe; six brothers: Claude Briscoe, Clarence Briscoe, Bill Briscoe, Albert Briscoe, Raymond Briscoe and Henry Briscoe; three sisters: Mary Phelps, Grace Nichols and Emma Creech; and his beloved wife of 66 years, Kathryn Belle Briscoe, who died June 2, 2006. Survivors include three daughters: Ruby Teasley of St. Louis; Doris Vancil of Union, MO and Linda Grady and her husband, William, of St. Charles, MO; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Kate Creech of Troy, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
