Obituary of Beverly Jean Harrison

Funeral Services for Beverly Jean Harrison of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Stephen McLane, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry, will officiate with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Harrison, Chris Gamblin, Charles Dunlap, Michael Harrison II, Daniel Reed and Jon Sifuentes. Mrs. Harrison, 86, passed away early Thursday morning, April 28, 2022, at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jonesburg, MO. Born July 28, 1935 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Thomas William and Grace Elizabeth Sportsman Holloway. Beverly was united in marriage on March 8, 1952 in Mountain Home, AR to Charles Willis Harrison. This union was blessed with four children: Robert, Cathy, Michael and Jeffery. Beverly was a loving homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Grace Holloway; two sisters: Doris Ruth Allen and Barbara Jones; two brothers: Thomas W. Holloway and Herman Richardson; one granddaughter, Deanna Haven; and her beloved husband of 67 years, Charles Harrison, who died on December 16, 2019. Survivors include her children: Bob Harrison and his wife, Joyce, of Elsberry, Cathy Dunlap and her husband, Charles, of Canon City, CO, Mickey Harrison and his wife, Robin, of Elsberry and Jeffery Harrison and his wife, Melinda, also of Elsberry; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren. Beverly also leaves three sisters: Donna Milligan of Independence, MO, Phyllis Paul and her husband, Ralph, of Independence and Patsy Hale of Florida; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
