Rev. Richard Pillers of the Assembly of God Church in Elsberry officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Ms. Barrett, 54, died Saturday evening, December 9, 2006 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born April 21, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of James Labern and Dorothy Louise Curtis Barrett. She was a resident of Troy Manor in Troy, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Barrett. Survivors include one son, Cole Barrett of South St. Louis, MO; one brother, James Curtis Barrett of Gerald, MO; one sister, Karen Elder of Gerald, MO; special cousins: Matt and Stacia Ruble and Jimmy and Carol Jeans; many special friends at Troy Manor; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, December 13, 2006 at Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry, MO.
