Obituary of Carol Leigh Herring

Funeral Services for Carol Leigh Herring of Winfield, MO will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Burial will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Mrs. Herring, 82, passed away Friday night, February 11, 2022 at Parklane Care Center in Wentzville, MO. Born April 29, 1939 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Lee and Edythe Court. Following high school, Carol attended Washington University. She was united in marriage on September 23, 1995 in St. Louis to Martin Albert Herring. Carol owned “Her Designs” by Carol. She loved designing wedding gowns and as a seamstress made many wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Carol was a member of Life Christian Center in St. Louis and a 50 year member of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Carol served as an election judge for over 25 years in St. Louis County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Edythe Court; and one son, John Lively, Jr in 2017. Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Martin Herring of Winfield; one step-daughter, Cherlyn Lee (Dan Pruitt) of Silex, MO; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
