Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Mildred Lucille Wamble Funeral services for Mildred Lucille Wamble of Elsberry, MO, were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO. Fr. Raymond Hager, of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, officiated with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Sheerin, J. Roger Wamble, Jim Wamble, James Sheerin, Eric Sheerin and Joe Wamble. Mrs. Wamble, 88, died Monday morning, November 20, 2006 at her home in Elsberry, MO. Born September 1, 1918 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter and only child of Albert Newton and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Keller Gray. She was a 1936 graduate of Beaumont High School in St. Louis, MO. She was united in marriage in May of 1954 in St. Louis, MO to J.D. Wamble. She was employed for 25 years as a procurement officer for the Federal Government, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lizzie Gray; and her beloved husband, J.D. Wamble. Survivors include three sons: John Edward Sheerin and his wife, Irene, of Shawnee, KS, J. Roger Wamble and his wife, Carrie, of Wentzville, MO, and Jim Wamble of Elsberry; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. A Rosary Service was held at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation Friday evening in Elsberry. A visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Saturday, November 25, 2006 at White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO.
