Obituary of Elsie Ethyl Dunn

Funeral Services for Elsie Ethyl Dunn of Troy, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Riffle, Jr., Keith Conklin, Homer Justin Riffle, Rodney Riffle, Josh Turner and Michael Ligon. Mrs. Dunn, 76, passed away Thursday night, January 20, 2022, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born March 31, 1945 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Rodney Thurman and Virginia Lee Harding Riffle. Elsie was united in marriage on November 19, 1967 in Foley to Alfred Thomas Dunn. Elsie was a caring person who loved to babysit and was a devoted homemaker. She was a longtime member of Corinth Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Virginia Riffle; and two brothers: Allen Riffle in 1982 and one as an infant. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Alfred Dunn of Troy; four brothers: Charles Riffle and his wife, Helen, of Clarksville, MO, Lindell Riffle of Foley, Phillip Riffle and his wife, Patti, of Elsberry and Kenneth Riffle and his wife, Tina, of Elsberry; and two sisters: Virginia Conklin and her husband, Harold, of Drasco, AR and Susan Trower of Troy. Elsie also leaves many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
