Obituary of William Allen Green

Funeral Services for William Allen “Bill” Green of St. Charles, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO. Rev. Lisa Martin, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ in St. Charles, will officiate with burial in St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery King, Ryan King, Ben King, David Kendrick and Paul Green. Mr. Green, 81, passed away early Saturday morning, January 15, 2022 at Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield in Chesterfield, MO. Born February 17, 1940 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of James and Dorothy Robinson Green. Bill served his country in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage on April 6, 1969 in Old Monroe to Ruth Eileen Dickbernd. This union was blessed with three children: Paul, Dawn and Robin. Bill worked as an electronics Inspector for McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of American Legion Post #312 in St. Charles and of St. John UCC in St. Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Green and Dorothy Mahl and her husband, Charles; and one daughter, Robin Green. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 53 years, Ruth Dickbernd Green of St. Charles; one daughter, Dawn (nee Green) King and her husband, Jeff King, of St. Charles one son, Paul Green and his wife, Victoria (nee Agin) Green, of Lombard, IL; one son-in-law, David Kendrick of Old Monroe, MO; two grandsons: Ryan King of St. Peters, MO and Benny King of St. Charles; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
