Obituary of Raedell Jean Mattingly

A Mass of Christian Burial for Raedell Jean Mattingly of O’Fallon, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Mattingly, Peter Wisniewski, Nick Lamkie, Sam Lamkie, Andrew Anderson and Brian Bogue. Mrs. Mattingly, 89, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2022 at the home of her son near Old Monroe. Born April 15, 1932 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Raymond Walter and Adell Emily Beaujean Keiser. Raedell was united in marriage on September 4, 1948 in Paducah, KY to Joseph Eddie Mattingly. This union was blessed with two children: Pam and Joe. Raedell worked in data entry for the National Records Center and was also a loving homemaker. She enjoyed reading, sewing and doing crotchet. Raedell was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Adell Keiser; one sister, Sandra Schrieber; and her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph Mattingly. Survivors include her children: Pam Anderson and her husband, Andrew, of St. Charles and Joe Mattingly, Jr. and his wife, Mary Kay, of Old Monroe; eight grandchildren: Amy McCarthy, Adam and Emily Mattingly, Kim (Rob) Laustrup, Hollie (Brian) Bogue, Julie (Ed) Lamkie, John (Makayla) Anderson and Sarah (Brian) Mansfield; twenty great-grandchildren: Luke and Evan McCarthy, Justin, Caleb, Peter and Sawyer Wisniewski, Kirsten and Elizabeth Laustrup, Ashley (Josh) Ritzo, Sydney, Elyssa and Genevieve Bogue, Morgan (Cameron) Harris, Katie (Jacob) Schlueter, Nick and Sam Lamkie, Andrew Anderson, Anna and Henry Anderson and Olivia Mansfield; and five great, great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Lucca Ritzo, Edmond and Edith Schlueter and Elowyn Harris. Raedell also leaves one brother, Raymond Keiser and his wife Cheryl, of O’Fallon; one sister, Marilyn Scovil, of O’Fallon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
