Obituary of Jeri Lynn Logan

Memorial Services for Jeri Lynn Logan of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Crump Baptist Church in Crump, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will be held in Elsberry at a later date. Mrs. Logan 58, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021, at her home near Elsberry. Born October 1, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Horace Gerald and Paulette Swaffer Emery. Jeri was a graduate of Savannah Central High School. Jeri married David Allen Logan on September 20, 1986 in Crump Tennessee. She held many occupations throughout her life, with her motivation for working with people. She worked in insurance, as a care assistant, and as a housekeeper. However, her focus was always on her family, as a homemaker. She was known as a hard worker throughout her life and had many interests and talents. Her hobbies were gardening, decorating, sewing and reading. Jeri had the brightest personality, loudest laugh, and biggest smile. She was witty, funny and kind to every person and animal she ever met. Her sense of humor, strong will and kindness carried on throughout her life. Jeri Lynn was an extraordinary person who cared about all and always tried to make everyone happy. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Joe Justice; one sister, Beath Sweat; and one son, James Allen Logan. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, David Logan; two daughters: Carrie Logan and her husband, Peter Nathalang, and Amanda Sherman and her husband, Ross; one step–daughter: Becca Goedecke and her husband, Steven; and granddaughters Nora and Mattie Goedecke. Jeri is also survived by her mother Paulette Justice; her siblings: Cathy Deitz, John Emery, Jody Dowdy, James Justice and Janice Cunningham; her father and mother-in-law, Bud and Margaret Logan; and a sister-in-law, Rhonda Sievert and her husband Tom; several other relatives and many, many friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for reaching out with condolences.
