Obituary of Katrina Jo Nelke

Funeral Services for Kat Jo Nelke of Moscow Mills, MO will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry, MO, will officiate. Mrs. Nelke, 34, passed away Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, MO. Born April 15, 1987 in Lafayette, IN, she was the daughter of Gregory and Nancy Carol Johnson Long. Kat was united in marriage on September 30, 2017 in St. Charles, MO to Kristopher Scott Nelke. She worked as a Customer Service Representative for Infinite Electronics. Kat loved hippos, music, camping and the outdoors. Most of all, Kat loved her children and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Long. Survivors include her beloved husband of four years, Kris Nelke of Moscow Mills; and four children: Daniel Gillespie, Kailey Gillespie, Skyler Nelke and Tayler Nelke, all of Moscow Mills. Kat also leaves her mother, Nancy Long of Moscow mills; one brother, Jeffrey Long and his wife, Kristine, of Aurora, CO; her in-laws, Christopher Nelke and his wife, Mary, of St. Peters, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
