Obituary of Wilma Louise Lagemann

Funeral Services for Wilma Louise Chandler Lagemann of Eolia, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Eolia Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Knight, former church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Eolia Cemetery. Mrs. Lagemann, 84, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Born August 12, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Andrew Eades and Sibyl Jeannette Ollar Chandler. Wilma was a 1955 graduate of Clopton High School where she was Senior Prom Queen. She was employed at Mallincrodt as an office worker until she started her family. Wilma was united in marriage on April 4, 1959 in Clarksville, MO to James Philip Lagemann. Active in the Pike County community, she was a former Eolia City Alderman, an election poll worker, and a Federal Grand Jury member. Wilma was a member of Eolia Chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Missouri, a 4-H Project Leader, an Avon lady and a former member of Eolia Baptist Church. Wilma also enjoyed doing puzzles, making crafts, homemade donuts and candy, meeting and talking with people. She was a good and loving care giver to all her family and friends. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Sibyl Chandler; and three sisters: Wanda McCluskey, Norma Williams and Jean Barley. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Philip Lagemann of Eolia; their children: Mark Lagemann and his wife, Judy, of Bowling Green, MO, Diane Witte and her husband, John, of St. Charles, MO, Amy Crowe and her husband, John, of Red Bud, IL, Sibyl Cox and her husband, James, of Elsberry, MO, Susan Case and her husband, Dave, of Brookfield, WI and Andrea Lagemann and her spouse, Frances Gilmore, of St. Charles, IL; twelve grandchildren: Laura, Kara, Stephanie, Jonathan, Kurt, Philip, Heather, Amanda, Lauren, Fiona, Emilia and Sophia; and nine great-grandchildren: Jamont, Nate, River, Lorelai, DeMario, Karter, Kaden, Amirah and Dorian. Wilma also leaves one sister, Sandi Allison of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Eolia Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association (or) the Clopton Alumni Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
