Obituary of Patricia Ann Thurman

Funeral Services for Patricia Ann Thurman of Frankford, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Nathan Geesey of Vandalia, MO and Austin Dove will officiate with burial in New Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Jessica Arnold, Austin Dove, Will Reuther, Jeff Bruhl, Christopher Bontz, Shawn Bruning, Matt Moran, Junior Moore and Nick Crow. Ms. Thurman, 62, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021, at her home. Born July 22, 1959 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of Howard Eugene and Dona Damron Thurman, Sr. Pat worked as a CNA for Bowling Green Residential Care and Countryview Nursing Home, retiring in 2012 after 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dona Thurman, Sr.; and two sisters: Cedella Harding and Donna Kay Thoelke. Survivors include her children: Matthew Hunter and his wife, Missy, of Elsberry, Dona Bontz and her husband, Chris, of Frankford, Miria Dove and her companion, Matt Moran of Hannibal, MO and Francisco Hunter and his wife, Leah, of Briscoe, MO; thirteen grandchildren: Gabriel, Marvin and Zackary Perkins, Jessica Arnold and her companion, Nick Crow, Lindsay Bruhl and her husband, Jeff, Katie Reuther and her husband, Will, Madison Arnold, Serria Hunter, Tyler Hunter, Dalton Hunter, Austin Dove, Brent Dove and Breanna Johnson; one bonus grandchild, Kyle Sweeney; and seven great-grandchildren: Kegann, Jasper and Noah Reuther, Lucille Bruhl, Layla Dove, Leland Dove and Lakeland Dove. Pat also leaves two brothers: Ray Damron, and his wife, Gloria, of Diamond, OK and Howard “Buster” Thurman, Jr. of Troy, MO; two sisters: Wilma Bruning of Troy, MO and Debbie Hunter of Bowling Green, MO; her best friend, Junior Moore; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
