Obituary of Daryl Gene Reiss

Visitation for Daryl Gene Reiss of Winfield, MO will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Chris Nation, pastor of The Crossing at Mid-Rivers Church, will officiate. Mr. Reiss, 68, passed away Friday morning, October 22, 2021 at his home in Winfield. Born July 30, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Eugene Joseph and Anna Lydia Schwartz Reiss. Daryl was a 1971 graduate of Riverview Gardens High School. He was united in marriage on May 15, 1976 in St. Louis to Sandra Esther Emery. This union was blessed with two daughters, Sally Ann and Laura June. Daryl was employed for many years by Spiegelglass Construction, retiring in 2014. He was a member of the Carpenters Local #97 in St. Louis. Daryl and Sandra are members of The Crossing at Mid-Rivers Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Anna Reiss; and one brother, Kenneth Gene Reiss, who died August 20, 2021. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Sandra Reiss of Winfield; their daughters: Sally Ann Petroff and her husband, Nick, of Hazelwood, MO, and Laura June Kempf of Winfield; and two grandchildren: Haley Reiss Kempf and Anya Jordan Petroff. Daryl also leaves one sister, Cheryl Reiss Williams of Troy, MO; cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
