Obituary of Deanna Hessling
Funeral Services for Deanna Hessling of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Larry Gallaher will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Korman, Eric Korman, Drew Schlie, Beau Good, Tim Roberts and Jimmie Lee Hessling.
Mrs. Hessling, 82, passed away Tuesday evening, October 19, 2021 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born July 8, 1939 in Portageville, MO, she was the daughter of Roy Columbus and Ruth Culp Berry. Deanna was united in marriage on July 13, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to Leonard Edward Hessling. This union was blessed with four children: Sandra, Lisa, Jeffrey and Stephen. Deanna was a member of Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Berry; two sons: Jeffrey Hessling on July 25, 2017 and Stephen Hessling on February 18, 2021; one daughter, Sandra Korman on August 16, 2013; two grandsons: Gary Dale Nelsen and Darryl Lynn Korman; five sisters: Louise Broadway, Avo Roberts, Reva Hilliard, Susie Trammell, Jacqueline Roberts; and four brothers: R.J. Berry, Carvel Ray Berry, Paul Thomas Berry and John Berry.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Leonard Hessling of Winfield; one daughter, Lisa Nelsen of Winfield; one son-in-law, David Korman of New Florence, MO; and one daughter-in-law, Tami Hessling of Troy, MO. Deanna also leaves nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Memorials may be made to Makin Memorial UMC in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
