Obituary of Michael John Lagemann

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael John Lagemann of St. Ann, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Fr. Charles Tichacek, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Dayne Lagemann, Mark Lagemann, Mark Adam, Gary Lagemann, Alan Lagemann, Chris Koch, John Koch and Bill Lagemann. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Lagemann and Bernie Walter. Mr. Lagemann, 55, passed away Monday afternoon, September 13, 2021. Born June 9, 1966 in St. Charles, MO he was the son of Vernon Joseph and Evelyn Mae Davis Lagemann. Mike was a 1984 graduate of Elsberry High School. He was united in marriage on September 9, 2009 in Clarksville, MO to Cathy Marie Johnson. Mike worked as a maintenance worker for St. Louis County Parks. He loved hunting, reloading gunshells, visiting the country and involved with VFW Post #3944 in Overland, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Lagemann. Survivors include his beloved wife, Cathy Lagemann of St. Ann; his stepson, J.J. Ford, Jr. and his wife, Jaime, of St. Peters, MO; and three grandchildren: Isabella, Connor and Blayne. Mike also leaves his stepmother, Dolores Lagemann of Elsberry; two brothers: Chris Lagemann and his wife, Debra, of St. Peters, MO and Paul Lagemann of Mexico, MO; two sisters: Marijo Lagemann of Elsberry and Rose Lagemann and her fiancé, Bernie Walter, of Rapdian, VA; his stepsiblings: Angie Henderson and her husband, Dave, of Winfield, MO and John McMullen and his wife, Cathy, of El Portal, CA; many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (or) National Suicide Prevention in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
