Obituary of Jane Rhea Tayon

Funeral Services for Jane Rhea Tayon of Moscow Mills, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of Elsberry First Christian Church, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Rackley, Dalton Tayon, Reggie Clowers, Tim Daly, Ken Ebert and Robert Crain. Mrs. Tayon, 82, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 14, 2021 at her home in Moscow Mills. Born July 4, 1939 in Winfield, she was the daughter of James Oliver and Lucille Foster Tayon. She was a 1957 graduate of Winfield High School. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Commercial Apparel in Winfield, retiring in December, 2007. She enjoyed the River and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Ollie” and Lucille Tayon; six sisters: Harriett Sphieler, Iva Sue Brookbank, Ada Presley, Irene Krachey, Dottie Masterson and Carol Clowers; and one granddaughter, Nicole Marie Tayon in 2009. Survivors include her son: Duaine Tayon of Winfield; three daughters: Nola Ebert and her husband, Ken, of Foley, MO, Tonuaa Tayon and her companion, Tim Daly, of Winfield, and Robin Tayon and her companion, Robert Crain, of Moscow Mills; seven grandchildren: Ashley Tibbs, Brooke Odom, Ricky Rackley, Jennifer Rackley, Kelci Rackley, Lindsey Ebert and Dalton Tayon; and eight great-grandchildren: Eli, Kaydence, Raelynn, Keegan, McKinley, Emmalee, Austin and Easton. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
