Obituary of JoAnn Goldie Scott
Funeral Services for JoAnn Goldie Scott of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Bishop Tiffany, Bishop of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dardenne Creek Ward, will officiate with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Scot Hollrah, Rob Hall, John Peel, John Meyer, Tony Vargo and Chris Dumm.
Mrs. Scott, 78, passed away early Friday morning, August 6, 2021 at her home near Winfield, MO. Born November 7, 1942 in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of Dorothy Leman. JoAnn was a graduate of American River Junior College in Sacramento, CA and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento. She was united in marriage on June 17, 1961 in Sacramento to William Neal Scott. JoAnn worked as a sheet metal assembler for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Leman; two sisters: Loretta Gorrell and Linda Medina; and her beloved husband of nearly 55 years, William Scott, who died on April 14, 2016.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Broyles and his wife, JulieAnn, of St. Charles, MO; and two grandsons: Beau Julian and Bryce Jaden Broyles. JoAnn also leaves three sisters: Rosemary Damren of Sacramento, Cathy White and her husband, Wayne, of Myrtle Point, OR and Reberta Gutkowski and her husband, Gary, of Houston, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
