Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Darrish

A Memorial Mass and Burial for Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Darrish of O’Fallon, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with inurnment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Miller, Jonathan Niederer and Sam Rademeyer. Mrs. Darrish, 88, passed away Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021 at McClay Senior Care in St. Peters, MO. Born June 9, 1933 in St. Louis County, MO, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Anna E. Fath Johnson. Liz was united in marriage on January 19, 1957 in New Orleans, LA to Daniel Roland Darrish. Liz worked as a cook for the Winfield R-IV School District and St. Dominic High School. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing cards. Liz and Dan ran the Old Monroe Ballpark for many years. Liz was a member of the Old Monroe Lions Club and a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Johnson; five brothers: Richard “Bo” Johnson, Bernard Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Leonard Johnson and Frank Johnson; her son, Daniel F. Darrish; and her beloved husband of 45 years, Dan Darrish, who died on March 4, 2002. Survivors include her daughters: Elizabeth M. Darrish of St. Charles, MO, Paula Haberstroh and her husband, Paul, of St. Peters; her daughter-in-law, Denise Darrish of O’Fallon; seven grandchildren: Thomas Milton, Timothy Miller, Monica Miller, Dana Niederer her husband, Jamie, Dawn Rademeyer and her husband, Brant, Melissa Hegger and her husband, Ryan, and Bridget Haberstroh: seven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
