Obituary of Marlene McKinney

Funeral Services for Marlene McKinney of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Father Richard Rath, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Reller, Joel McKinney, Frank Hemberger, Donnie Huntsman, Ian Parnell and Chris Homer. Mrs. McKinney, 70, passed away early Thursday morning, July 22, 2021 at her home in Winfield. Born June 19, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Albert Paul and Estelle Mary Yarbrough Homer. Marlene was united in marriage on September 28, 1968 in St. Louis, MO to Donald Eugene McKinney. This union was blessed with three children: Kelly, Richard and Tim. Marlene was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Estelle Homer; three sisters: Jackie Digger, Karen Sullivan and Pamma Homer; four brothers: Albert Homer, Kenny Homer, Raymond Homer and Mike Homer; and her beloved husband, Donald McKinney. Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Marie McKinney of Winfield; two sons: Richard E. McKinney of Moscow Mills, MO, and Tim McKinney and his companion, Lizzy Windes, of Winfield; eight grandchildren: Brian Reller, Nicolette Reller, Victoria McKinney, Joel McKinney, Logan McKinney, Kolt Willis, Kenna Windes and Abbi David; and four great-grandchildren: Bellah Reller, Layla Reller, Bryson Reller and Ava Hill. She also leaves her companion, Steve Burkhart of Winfield; six sisters: Debbie Mask, Kathy Hedrick, Carol Chilton, Diana Roach, Cherrie Wells and Susan Hill, all of St. Louis; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
