Obituary of Charles "CJ" Joseph Edgar, Jr.

Funeral Services for Charles Joseph Edgar, Jr. of O’Fallon, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Birchfield, Charles “Chuck” Hobby, Edgar Kinder, Nicolina Agugello, Colbey Gillette and Loran Brown. Mr. Edgar, Jr., 23, passed away Thursday morning, June 24, 2021 the result of an automobile accident near Elsberry. Born November 28, 1997 in Lake St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Charles Joseph Edgar, Sr. and Jamie Marie Langiano. CJ was a graduate of Winfield High School. He worked as a yardman for St. Charles Harley Davidson. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Terry Missey and Anthony Langiano; and one uncle, Daniel Langiano. Survivors include his son, Charles J. Edgar IV; his parents: Charles J. Edgar, Sr. of Winfield and Jamie M. Langiano of Forsyth, MO; his paternal grandmother, Susan Missey of O’Fallon; and his maternal grandmother, Deborah Langiano of Forsyth. CJ also leaves two sisters: Skyla Birchfield of Rockaway Beach, MO and Sierra Edgar of Forsyth: his aunt, Kristy Dougherty and her husband, Chris, of O’Fallon; his uncle, David Missey of St. Charles, MO; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
