Obituary of Alma Louise Davis

Funeral services for Alma Louise Davis of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Linda Zych, pastor of Smith Chapel UMC, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Ms. Davis, 63, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 15, 2014, 2014 St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born July 11, 1950 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of Milford Lee and Alma Lee Damron Richards. She was a 1968 graduate of Elsberry High School. Alma worked as a homemaker and was a member of Smith Chapel UMC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Alma Richards; and one grandson, Dustin Lee Cooper-Teasley in 1998. Survivors include two daughters: Tammie Taubig and her husband, David, of Elsberry and Tonia Cooper of O'Fallon, MO; one foster daughter, Tina Clark and her husband, Michael, of Festus, MO; and six grandchildren: Brendan, Breonna, Brittney, Cheyenne, Caydan and Chloe. She also leaves one sister, Bonnie Schumacher and her husband, Gene, of Winfield, MO; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
