Obituary of Diane Marie DeMoulin

A Mass of Christian Burial for Diane Marie DeMoulin of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Fr. Mark Whitman, church pastor, Fr Robert Zinser, and Fr, Charles Tichacek will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Patton, Nick Patton, Doug Loyd, Bob DeMoulin, Tom DeMoulin, John DeMoulin, Matt Henke and Ben Peniston. Mrs. DeMoulin, 81, passed away early Friday morning, March 19, 2021 at Evelyn’s House in St. Louis, MO. Born February 2, 1940 in Union, MO, she was the daughter of Cletus and Marie Kluesner Loyd. Diane was united in marriage on May 23, 1964 in Ferguson, MO to Charles Edward DeMoulin. This union was blessed with two sons: Charles, Jr. and Timothy. Diane was employed at Famous Barr and McDonnell Douglas. She also worked as a Secretary for the Hazelwood School District for 20 years, retiring in 2000. Diane and Charlie lived in Elsberry for many years before moving to St. Charles two years ago. They were members of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Charles; and former members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Marie Loyd; and one son, Timothy DeMoulin, who died March 7, 2015. Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 57 years, Charlie DeMoulin of St. Charles; one son, Charles “Chuck” DeMoulin, Jr., and his wife, Deb, of Imperial, MO; and one granddaughter, Josie Zurweller of Hannibal, MO. Diane also leaves one brother, Alan Loyd and his wife, MaryLou, of Hazelwood, MO; one sister, Cheryl Patton and her husband, Roy “Butch,” of St. Charles; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
