Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Stella Alma Cannon Funeral services for Stella Alma Cannon of Winfield, MO, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Winfield First Baptist Church in Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield First Baptist Church, officiated with burial in the New Salem Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were family and friends of Mrs. Stella Alma Cannon. Mrs. Cannon, 81, passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2006 at her home near Winfield. Born January 28, 1925 in Herman, MO, she was the daughter of Edwin and Mina Lingenfelder Mueller. She was united in marriage on April 18, 1953 in Herman, MO to Ralph Floyd Cannon. This union was blessed with four children: Kathryn Janet, Elizabeth Mina, James Edwin and Elaine Stella. She was employed for many years as an OR technician at Incarnate Word Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church in Winfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ralph Cannon who passed away May 3, 1997; two daughters, Elaine Stella Cannon, who passed away July 18, 1964 and Elizabeth Mina Cannon, who passed away June 8, 2005; one sister, Ella King; and two brothers: Orval Mueller and Edwin Mueller. Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn Janet Cannon of Boise, ID; one son, James Edwin Cannon of St. Louis, MO; three sisters: Corene Meier of Winfield, MO, Hazel Mueller of Herman, MO and Janet Mueller, also of Herman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
