Obituary of David Lee Brinkman

Funeral Services for David Lee Brinkman of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Michael Kasevich, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Brinkman, Luke Walker, Leigh Walker, Lydia Brinkman, Larry Keeling, Andy Keeling, Chris Brinkman and Dale Speath. Mr. Brinkman, 75, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2021 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Meyers, FL. Born February 10, 1945 in Elsberry, MO, he was the son of Parker Brown and Nellie Mae Lemery Brinkman. David was a 1963 graduate of Winfield High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1968. David was united in marriage on September 18, 1965 in Winfield to Sharon Ann McPheeters. This union was blessed with two children: Jack and Andrea. David worked as a tool engineer for Boeing, retiring after 50 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #420 in Old Monroe. David was a past volunteer and Chief for the Old Monroe Fire Protection District. He was preceded in death by his parents, Parker and Nellie Brinkman; and two brothers: Garlan and Marlan Brinkman. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Brinkman of Winfield; their children: Jack Brinkman and his wife, Diane, of Old Monroe, MO and Andrea Borchert and her husband, Tim, of Fort Meyers, FL; five grandchildren: Luke Walker and his wife, Emily, Leigh Anna Walker, Larry Keeling, Andy Keeling and Lydia Brinkman; and two great-grandchildren: Marcy and Olive Walker. David also leaves one brother, Don Brinkman of Old Monroe; one sister, Julie Murphy of Old Monroe; one sister-in-law, Sally Uthe and her husband, Dennis, of Old Monroe; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
