Obituary of Gregory Steven Conrad

Funeral Services for Gregory Steven Conrad of Elsberry, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richie Rhea, pastor of NorthRoad Community Church in Moscow Mills, MO, will officiate. Mr. Conrad, 60, passed away Friday afternoon, January 8, 2021 at his home. Born September 1, 1960 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Roger Stanford and Barbara Jean Stewart Conrad. Greg was united in marriage on October 24, 1981 in Hazelwood, MO to Julie Anne Suermann. This union was blessed with eight children: Nicholas Roger, Darla Rae, George James, Randall Steven, Lyndia Larayne, Alayna Rose, Zachary D.D. and Christian Gregory. Greg worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Baywood Villages, retiring in 2016. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Conrad and Barbara Conrad; one sister, Kathryn Louise Laws; and his daughter, Alayna Conrad, who died on October 10, 2018. Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Julie Conrad of Elsberry; five sons: Nicholas Conrad and his wife, Sara, of St. Charles, George Conrad of Elsberry, Randall Conrad and his wife, Melissa, of Silex, MO, Zachary Conrad of Elsberry and Christian Conrad, also of Elsberry; two daughters: Darla Latokhin and her husband, Sergey, of Wadsworth, IL and Lyndia Sherrow and her husband, Adam, of Troy; and three grandsons: Maximus Latokhin, Roman Sherrow and Evander Sherrow. Greg also leaves his stepmother, June Conrad of Cedar Hill, MO; one brother, George F. Conrad of Troy; one sister, Dianne Conrad of St. Ann, MO; his loving and faithful companion, Charlie the dog; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
