Obituary of Joseph Pedotti Ferdinand

Graveside Services for Joseph Pedotti “Joe John” Ferdinand II of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of the Elsberry First Christian Church, will officiate. Joe John, 74, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home near Elsberry. Born August 20, 1946 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Joseph Pedotti Ferdinand. Joe John served his country in the United States Navy from August 22, 1963 until his honorable discharge on December 5, 1967. Joe John worked in irrigation and maintenance for Forrest Keeling Nursery for several years. He was a member of American Legion Post #226 and Elsberry VFW Post #9064. Joe John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ferdinand. Survivors include his longtime girlfriend and companion, Rosina Ruegg; and two daughters: Dawn Ferdinand and her companion, Nicholas Aldein, of Troy, MO and Lucrita Ferdinand, also of Troy. Joe John also leaves his Guardian, Renae Aldein of Troy; and many friends. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
