Obituary of Joanne Mary Hines
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne Mary Hines of Winfield, MO will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, and Deacon Neal Westhoff will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Clete Burkemper, Chad Creech, Caleb Tiller, Michael Rothermich, Wade Rothermich, Greg Rothermich, Eric Rothermich and Shane Creech.
Mrs. Hines, 87, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 15, 2020 at her home. Born March 5, 1933 in Chain of Rocks, MO, she was the daughter of Hubert J. and Olivia Caroline Burkemper Freise. Joanne was a graduate of Assumption High School. She was united in marriage on June 21, 1974 at New Salem Baptist Church in Winfield to Robert “Rosco” Hines. She worked as a Hairdresser for MaryKnoll Beauty for 30 years, retiring in 1998. Joanne volunteered for WINCO, Meals on Wheels, Immaculate Conception Quilters, Immaculate Conception Ladies Sodality and at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Olivia Freise; her siblings: Rosemary Freise, Edward Freise, Dennis Freise, and Victor Freise.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Rosco Hines of Winfield; her children: Curt Creech and his wife, Kay, of Estero, FL, Ted Creech and his wife, Ruby, of Old Monroe, Dianne Burkemper and her husband, Pat, of Old Monroe, Donna Wilson and her husband, Jeff, of Winfield, Denise Rothermich and her husband, Dale, of O’Fallon, MO, Teresa Tiller and her husband, Gary, of Old Monroe, and Boone Creech and his wife, Robin, of Winfield; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. Joanne also leaves one sister, Carol Prinster and her husband, Bill, of Old Monroe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
