Obituary of Ida Elizabeth Dunn

Funeral Services for Ida Elizabeth Dunn of Warrenton, MO, formerly of Foley, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Pastor Glenn Sparks, Jr., Lead Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Warrenton will officiate. Inurnment will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield at a later date. Mrs. Dunn, 79, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St, Louis, MO. Born April 16, 1941 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of William and Marie Bertz Meyer. Ida was a 1960 graduate of Roosevelt High School. She was united in marriage on September 15, 1962 in St. Louis to James Richard Dunn. This union was blessed with three children: Patrick Lee, Matthew Jay and Frances Marie. Ida was a loving homemaker. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Marie Meyer; three brothers: Harold Meyer, Robert Meyer, and Stephen Meyer, who died as an infant; one sister, Linda Meyer, who died as an infant; and her beloved husband of 35 years, James Dunn, who died on November 25, 1997. Survivors include her children: Patrick Dunn and his wife, Rebecca, of Troy, MO and Matthew Dunn of Warrenton and Frances Dunn of Warrenton; seven grandchildren: Andrew Dunn, Daniel Dunn, Jaicen Dunn, Alexandra Dunn, Christopher Dunn, Zachary Dunn and Joseph Dunn; and five great-grandchildren. Ida also leaves two brothers: William Meyer III of Moody, IL and David Meyer of Warrenton; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
