Obituary of Carl Hugh Jett

Graveside Services for Carl Hugh Jett of O’Fallon, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2020 at St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate. Mr. Jett, 82, passed away Wednesday evening, December 9, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, MO. Born August 13, 1938 in Ashville, NC, he was the son of Randolph A. and Eunice Eugena Sutter Jett. Carl was a graduate of Southwest High School in St. Louis, MO. He was united in marriage on February 14, 1959 in St. Louis to Gleta Ann Lutes. This union was blessed with one daughter, Sandra Kay. Carl worked as an over the road truck driver for CRST Trucking, retiring on October 3, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Eunice Jett; his sister, Betty Joan Define; his daughter, Sandra Hale on March 11, 2012; and his beloved wife of 56 years, Gleta Jett, on August 7, 2015. Survivors include his son-in-law, Robert Hale and his wife, Karen, of Troy, MO; numerous niece, nephews and friends.
