Edna was born April 19, 1930 in Old Monroe, MO to William and Lizzie Rahmeier. She and her younger sister, Norma, were raised on a farm and enjoyed the farm life. She lived within 5 miles of this farm until her move to Chestnut Glen Assisted Living in St. Peters, MO in 2019. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1948. It was here she met and later married her first husband, Henry Odell Langston. Four children were born to this union: Wayne, Glenn, Elaine and Karla. Ellsworth Gravens, a retired postal worker from Winfield, who preceded her in death in 1995. Edna was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Old Monroe, MO. Her faith was very important to her and she was very active in the life of the congregation. Edna was also a long-time member of the Ama de Casa Club in Winfield. She had also enjoyed volunteering at the Winfield Senior Center. Edna enjoyed traveling and visited every state, except Hawaii, as well as several countries abroad. If you knew Edna, you also knew of her love for playing cards. Many hours were spent in laughter and conversation with numerous friends around the card table her entire adult life. Her family also brought great joy to Edna’s life and was grateful how close in heart they remained to each other as the family grew. Her family was truly blessed by her love and support. Edna is survived by her four children: Wayne Langston (Marilynn) of Belle, MO; Glenn Langston (Misty) of Boonville, MO; Elaine Lehmann of Chicago, IL; Karla Cunningham (Bill) of St. Peters, MO; and her two step-sons: Michael Gravens (Ruth) of St. Paul, MO and David Gravens Old Monroe, MO.
